Learn through movement and ideas
The system I teach translates as “the way to perpetual physical and mental growth.”
For me, Kung Fu is a way to keep learning about yourself. We explore ideas through conversation and practice. You might discover something by understanding a principle, or by trying a movement and noticing what changes.
Sessions can include posture, balance, breathing, relaxation and simple Kung Fu movements. There is no fixed routine. We shape the session around you.
A good fit if you…
- Want more focus or a steadier way to meet life’s pressures
- Are curious about Kung Fu but don’t want hard, punishing training
- Enjoy understanding an idea as well as trying it
- Want a personal practice that can grow with you
My approach draws on internal sensitivity practices, or ‘soft practices’. I sometimes call it “old man Kung Fu”: calm, thoughtful training that values awareness, timing and using less force.
Your first session
We’ll meet, talk about what you’re looking for and try a little practice. You can ask questions at any time. There’s no sparring or pressure to do anything you’re not comfortable with.
