Reshape Your Relationship with Anxiety
A practical 21-session course for learning how to understand anxious patterns, practise useful responses, and build a personal toolkit that fits your life.

Perhaps you’ve been trying to get rid of anxiety, stop overthinking, control your reactions, become less sensitive, or wait to feel better before getting on with life.
You may have read the advice, tried a few techniques, and understood anxiety intellectually – yet still found it difficult to know what to do in the moments that matter.
Anxiety can quietly shape the decisions you make, the conversations you avoid, the opportunities you postpone, and the amount of energy you spend trying to feel safe, certain, or in control.
But what if the goal wasn’t to eliminate anxiety before you could live more fully?
What if you could learn to recognise what’s happening, make space before reacting, respond with more choice, and move towards what matters even when anxiety is present?
Ease Over Anxiety is a practical, self-directed course for exploring how anxiety shows up in your thoughts, emotions, body, habits and sense of identity.
You’ll be introduced to practical skills through short videos, reflection, breath practices, and body-based exercises. You’ll then be encouraged to test those practices in your own life and discover what is genuinely useful for you.
The course does not ask you to follow a perfect programme or use every exercise. It gives you a structured way to explore, practise, notice, adapt, and gradually build a personal toolkit.
As you progress through the course, you may begin to:
- notice the early signs of anxiety before they become overwhelming
- recognise the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and body
- create a pause before automatically reacting
- relate differently to difficult thoughts and inner criticism
- use rehearsed breath and body practices during challenging moments
- understand the patterns that keep anxiety going
- identify what drains your emotional energy and what helps restore it
- recover more quickly after anxious episodes
- make choices based on what matters rather than only on what anxiety is telling you to avoid
The aim is not to become someone who never feels anxious. The aim is to become more familiar with what anxiety is doing, more capable of meeting it, and less controlled by automatic responses.
Anxiety may be part of your experience—but it is not the whole of who you are
A label can help describe an experience, but it does not have to become your identity.
If anxiety becomes the main story you tell about yourself, it can be easy to overlook the many other parts of you that are also present: your values, abilities, relationships, interests, strengths, hopes, and capacity to grow.
Ease Over Anxiety begins by helping you understand anxiety. As the course progresses, it widens into a broader exploration of identity, perspective, self-compassion, personal meaning, and the kind of life you want to create.
Anxiety can remain one part of your experience without feeling like it’s who you are.
The course begins with anxiety—but it does not end there
The first sessions help you recognise how anxiety appears in your thoughts, emotions, body, and behaviour.
The middle sessions help you explore practical ways to create space, work with your internal patterns, support your emotional energy, and make useful practices easier to continue.
The later sessions widen the lens. You begin to consider the stories you tell about yourself, the perspectives available to you, and how you want to live beyond simply managing symptoms.
In short: Notice what is happening – explore what might help – make change easier to sustain – move toward a fuller way of living.

Start Exploring What Works For You
This course brings together 25 years of experience in mental-health rehabilitation, social care, education, coaching and teaching practices. As well as drawing from kung fu, yoga, qigong, breathwork, and body-based healing.
The course was created from a simple observation: people often need useful skills they can practise in real situations – not just more information about anxiety.
The EASE Framework
The course follows a four-phase process that takes you from understanding your experience to building a more self-directed way forward.
1. Express
Put your experience into clear words. Notice what happens in your thoughts, emotions, body, and behaviour, and identify what you want to understand or change.
2. Assess what might help
Explore practical skills that help your actual situation rather than applying generic advice. Notice what supports you, what drains you, and what makes a meaningful difference.
3. Set up simple systems
Make useful practices easier to remember and repeat. Build them into existing routines, create supportive reminders, and develop ways to review and adapt your approach. Practice your skills so they work when you need them, and change how you respond.
4. Empower through Experiment
Test possibilities in real life. Keep what helps, adapt what needs changing, and develop a personal way of responding that can continue beyond the course.
In short: Understand what is happening. Explore what may help. Make practice easier. Build a life that is not organised around anxiety.
Every session gives you four ways to engage
Each session follows the same simple structure: Watch the video, then:
Read – Review A Quick Start summary of the key ideas.
Write: Reflect on how the ideas connect with your own experience.
Breathe: Explore a breath-based practice – that builds as the course progresses.
Do: Test out a body-based practice designed to develop awareness, grounding and access to physical tools.
Each session gives you something to understand, something to reflect on, something to practise and something to notice in everyday life.
You won’t be asked to read lots of books – or research every possible approach. You can work through the sessions in order, move at a pace that suits you, repeat practices, and return to the material whenever you need it.
Build skills you can access when you need them
The breath and body practices build progressively across the 21 sessions.
Rather than asking you to memorise a long list of techniques, the course helps you develop the underlying skills that make many breathing, grounding, and relaxation practices easier to access:
- noticing your breath;
- influencing your breath without forcing it;
- sensing what is happening in your body;
- creating physical space and steadiness;
- directing your attention deliberately;
- recognising what helps you feel more present and supported.
The aim of developing these foundation skills is to make it easier to use a practice during everyday moments of stress, tension, worry, or emotional overwhelm.
The 21-session journey
Phase 1: Express — understand your experience
Learn to pause, recognise emotional states, notice inner speech, create space for intention, and listen to bodily signals. By the end of this phase, you will have a clearer picture of how anxiety shows up for you and what you want to work with.
Phase 2: Assess — explore what may help
Explore the relationship between mind, body, and emotions. Practise stillness, self-kindness, and attention. Clarify beliefs and identify the activities, relationships, and habits that drain or restore your energy.
Phase 3: Set Up Systems — make change easier to sustain
Examine identity patterns, automatic responses, emotional reserves, body awareness, and old coping strategies. Begin creating personal systems and routines that support continued practice.
Phase 4: Empower — widen the lens
Develop perspective, review the stories you tell about yourself, borrow and adapt useful ideas, create a personal growth system, and consider how you want to live moving forward.
The course begins with anxiety, but the larger aim is to help you develop a fuller relationship with yourself and your life.
What you’ll get
Inside the course, you’ll receive:
- 21 themed skills-building sessions
- short core-idea video lessons
- progressive breath-practice demonstrations
- progressive body-practice demonstrations
- Read–Write–Breathe–Do activities
- Quick Start practice guides
- reflection prompts
- phone-friendly practice images
- downloadable resources
- suggestions for fitting practice into routines you already have
- review points to help you identify what is working
- guidance for adapting practices to suit your needs
You are not expected to practise everything perfectly. You are encouraged to experiment, notice what helps, and gradually build a personal toolkit that can continue to develop with you.
You do not need to wait until anxiety disappears, life becomes less busy, or you feel completely ready.
You can begin with one session, one useful idea, and one practice that fits the life you have now.
Every time you notice a pattern, create a pause, or respond with a little more choice, you are beginning to build a different relationship with yourself.
The question is not whether you will ever feel anxious again. The question is whether anxiety has to keep deciding what you do, avoid, postpone, or believe about yourself.
Begin with one step
Ease Over Anxiety gives you a structured way to understand your patterns, explore practical skills, and build a personal approach that fits your life.
You can work through one session a week, move more slowly, repeat a session, or return to the practices that feel most relevant.
You do not need to complete every exercise. You do not need to feel calm before you begin. You only need enough willingness to explore what might be possible.

What others are saying
“So helpful…I finally found a way to practise that didn’t feel like another task on my list.” – Sonja J.
“The course helped me notice what was happening before anxiety completely took over and that was just session 2!.” – James H.
I designed this course from my years of experience dealing with anxiety, which, for me, revolved around getting caught in shameful thought loops – and worrying about things that would probably never happen. I still occasionally get those feelings, but they don’t last long, over time I discovered more about myself, learnt to respond in more helpful ways, and built these new responses into my routines so that they stuck. – Tony P.

Why am I qualified to teach this?
My work brings together three areas: frontline experience in mental health and social-care; many years of teaching and coaching, and a lifelong personal and professional interest in kung fu, yoga, qigong, breathwork, and body-based practices.
These experiences have taught me the importance of practical skills that can be adapted to real situations—not just ideas that sound good in theory.
I have also lived with anxiety and depression since my teenage years. These experiences have shaped the way I teach: practical, curious, flexible, and focused on helping people discover what works for them.
I am not a doctor, psychiatrist, or psychologist. This course is not a replacement for professional treatment. It is a structured introduction to practical skills that may help you develop greater awareness, acceptance, and choice in how you respond to anxiety.
You remain the expert on your own experience. You are encouraged to adapt practices, stop anything that causes discomfort or distress, and seek additional professional support when needed.
You begin by understanding anxiety. You continue by understanding yourself. You finish with more choice about how you want to live.
